DESCRIPTION OF CONTRIBUTING EDITOR POSITION:
The Contributing Editors of NCURA Magazine are responsible for content of the Magazine, which keeps the membership informed of news and items of interest within NCURA, and in the field of research administration.

DURATION: One year, with possible reappointment.

A.      Function of Position – Contributing Editors of the Magazine are responsible for one article per magazine (6 issues per year) on a topic coinciding with their particular area of assignment, including assigning articles to authors (members and/or non-members of NCURA), writing articles, review of articles, and timely submission of articles in the approved style to the Co-Editors.  Additional duties may include communication with authors regarding possible follow-up opportunities associated with their articles, such as live blogs, YouTube videos, NCURA Collaborate discussions, etc.

B. Time Commitment - Approximately 4-6 hours per issue.

C. Qualifications/Requirements – Knowledge of research administration issues, APA Publication Manual, and current topics within their area of expertise, excellent writing and communication skills.

E. Training and Support – Support is available from the NCURA staff.
