Meeting Mentor Program

Meeting Mentor Experience at the NCURA Annual Meeting

Each year, NCURA offers a free Meeting Mentor Experience to help new Annual Meeting attendees feel instantly connected—New York style. Think of it as finding your NCURA “neighborhood” in a big city: a friendly guide, a familiar face, and a few great introductions that make everything easier. These mentor pairings help you navigate the meeting, build your network, and get the most out of your time together in NYC.

For First Time Attendees

The Mentee Experience - NYC Edition

The Meeting Mentor Experience is designed for first-time attendees—or those newer to NCURA meetings—who want an easier on-ramp to the Annual Meeting. Your mentor helps you get oriented, make connections, and feel confident from the first session to the last.

What to look forward to

  • A mentor who serves as your friendly guide to the Annual Meeting experience
  • Helpful insights on which sessions may be most beneficial based on attendee's interests or goals
  • A quick connect to help you plug into meeting activities and community moments
  • Real-world tips from someone who’s “been here before”
  • Introductions that make the meeting feel smaller—fast

For Returning Attendees

Be a Mentor - Give Back in the City That Connects Everyone

New York thrives on people helping people—and so does NCURA. As a mentor, you’ll share your experience with new attendees, answer questions ahead of time, and help them feel welcomed and included once onsite.

What to look forward to

  • Connecting once before and twice onsite with 2–3 mentees to offer a warm welcome and easy introductions
  • Sharing practical insights to help them optimize their first Annual Meeting
  • Helping mentees navigate networking events and community moments (as requested)
  • Offer insights on which sessions may be most beneficial based on attendee's interests or goals
  • Sharing useful tips for getting the most from the NCURA app
