First Time Participants

Welcome First Time Attendees of NCURA's Annual Meeting!

We are excited you will be joining us for the 65th Annual Meeting. Now that you've registered, you may be wondering what to expect. As a conference attendee, you will receive informative education from presentations, discussions, open forums and panels while also networking, with like-minded Research Administrators. The tips below will help you have an engaging and enjoyable conference experience.

Map out your goals: For first time conference attendees the experience can seem overwhelming. If you’re wondering how to navigate the many sessions and discussion groups, consider focusing on a few topics that interest you instead of trying to participate in everything. Be sure to discuss with your supervisor before departing, to ensure you are attending the appropriate sessions. Please visit the Program to learn more.

Volunteer: We are always looking for volunteers to help at the conference. This is a great way to be seen and to meet others including some of the many presenters. Please click HERE to see a list of our volunteer opportunities!

65th Annual Meeting Orientation for New NCURA Members

Welcome to your first NCURA Annual Meeting! Please join members from NCURA’s Executive Committee for what you need to know to have a great experience at AM65!

Saturday, August 5th and Sunday, August 6th from 4:00- 4:45 pm

Attend sessions and trainee events: Use your planned agenda as a guide, but also be open to trying something new. Attend a session that is not directly related to your current responsibilities. You may discover new ideas or collaborators where you least expect them.

NCURA Membership: Join us at the Registration Desk, and ask about our member benefits, volunteer opportunities and how an NCURA membership can help advance your career!

When You Get Home

Put everything you learned at the conference into practice and share it with your colleagues.

Follow up with the contacts you made while networking.

Offer Your Suggestions. Shortly after the conference concludes, NCURA will e-mail all conference attendees a brief electronic survey. Feel free to let us know what you liked and what you felt might need some improvement for our future conferences!

Make sure to follow NCURA on Twitter and Facebook!
