BEFORE THE CONFERENCE

Map out your goals: For first time conference attendees the experience can seem overwhelming. You might be wondering how to navigate the many sessions and discussion groups throughout the conference. Consider focusing on a few topics that interest you instead of trying to participate in everything. Be sure to discuss with your supervisor before departing to ensure you are attending the appropriate sessions. Please visit the Program to learn more.
Volunteer: We are always looking for volunteers to help at the conference. Volunteering is a great way to meet fellow attendees, including some of the presenters. Please click HERE to see a list of our volunteer opportunities!

AT THE CONFERENCE

Attending sessions and trainee events: Use your planned agenda as a guide, but also be open to trying something new. Attend a session that is not directly related to your current responsibilities. You may discover new ideas or collaborators where you least expect them.

AFTER THE CONFERENCE

Put everything you learned at the conference into practice and share it with your colleagues.
Follow up with the contacts you made while networking.
Offer Your Suggestions: Shortly after the conference concludes, NCURA will e-mail all conference attendees a brief electronic survey. Feel free to let us know what you liked and what you felt might need some improvement for our future conferences!
