BEFORE THE CONFERENCE

Map out your goals: For first time conference attendees the experience can seem overwhelming. If you’re wondering how to navigate the many sessions and discussion groups, consider focusing on a few topics that interest you instead of trying to participate in everything. Be sure to discuss with your supervisor before departing, to ensure you are attending the appropriate sessions. Please visit the Program to learn more.

Volunteer: We are always looking for volunteers to help at the conference. This is a great way to be seen and to meet others including some of the many presenters. Please click HERE to see a list of our volunteer opportunities!

AT THE CONFERENCE

Attend sessions and trainee events: Use your planned agenda as a guide, but also be open to trying something new. Attend a session that is not directly related to your current responsibilities. You may discover new ideas or collaborators where you least expect them.

Put everything you learned at the conference into practice and share it with your colleagues.

Follow up with the contacts you made while networking.
