Staying Fit at the Conference


Changing time zones, networking, educational sessions, dinner groups…let’s face it—travel to the Annual Meeting could leave you with little opportunity for fitness. And while you may be tempted to “forget” your gym clothes altogether, consider this: staying active can give you the energy and stamina you need to help you through those full days in Washington, DC! We have fitness activities planned for each day of the conference!

In fact, recent studies suggest that business travelers who exercise while they travel can improve reaction and alertness by up to 61%. Moreover, exercise boosts immunity defenses, triggers the release of brain endorphins, and even helps you sleep better. Check out our fitness options for you!

6:15 – 6:45 am 

Monday Morning Boot Camp

Ditch your apps and screen and join us for a mixed interval, total body conditioning workout -- IRL!

This will be a fast-moving workout with short intervals of high intensity interval training (HIIT), mixed cardio and bodyweight strength, a core challenge and full body stretch. All exercises can be done at your own pace so you can get the most out of your workout.

All fitness levels are welcome; both high and low impact modifications will be available.


Your Instructor: Barbara Inderwiesche, Kuali Research

Barbara is a former Group X Instructor with over 10 years’ experience teaching at 24 Hour Fitness teaching TurboKick, 24LIFT and Strength Endurance Training (SET). Four kids and a global pandemic later, Barbara still has a passion for teaching and for fitness, and like most of us, has resigned to working out through an app in the garage. Her favorite classes include weight lifting, HIIT, kickboxing and yoga.

Come and enjoy a morning of fitness, fun and friendship! Meet in the main lobby at 6:00 am for this burst of fresh air.

6:15 am Warm up - All

6:20 - 6:35 am Zumba with Gil Tran, OMB

6:35 - 6:50 am Kickboxing with Roseann Luongo, Huron

6:50 - 7:00 am Cool Down Yoga Stretching with Tara Bishop, NCURA

Whether this is your first Zumba/Kick Boxing experience, or you are an expert, this workout is for you. And our yoga stretching at the end is also for everyone.

Join us for this 10 minute pause in your the day to breathe, move gently and come back to you natural state of balance.  We will be standing for our practice so no special attire needed and all are welcome.
