Evaluation Vice Coordinator

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Evaluation Vice-Coordinator serves one year under the guidance of the Evaluation Coordinator in preparation for the position on the PDC as the Evaluation Coordinator. The Vice-Coordinator assists the Coordinator as directed by the Coordinator and performs the duties of the Coordinator when the Coordinator cannot.

DURATION:
The commitment begins as an initial one-year term as Evaluation Vice-Coordinator to shadow the current Evaluation Coordinator and an additional two year term on the PDC as the Evaluation Coordinator. Total Commitment: 3 years.

  1. Function of Position - The Evaluation Vice-Coordinator is a year of on the job training in preparation for serving on the PDC as the Evaluation Coordinator.

    Evaluation Coordinator: To oversee the evaluation of all NCURA conferences and workshops, by coordinating the recruitment of evaluators and determining various evaluation tools. In addition, the Evaluation Coordinator participates, along with other PDC members, in the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of all professional development activity, including the Annual Meeting, Annual Meeting Workshop, Fundamentals of Sponsored Programs Administration, special conferences and workshops, Research Management Review, and monographs and micrographs. The Evaluation Vice-Coordinator is also a member of the PDC Evaluation Subcommittee and as such is responsible for the critical analysis of the evaluations of all the NCURA professional development programs. To evaluate professional development activities, including workshops, special conferences, Fundamentals of Sponsored Programs Administration, Neighborhoods, and monographs, micrographs and publications.
  2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities & % Time Devoted - All work is completed through e-mail and telephone communication throughout the year. Approximately two hours per week, averaged across a year, can be anticipated.
  3. Qualifications/Requirements
    1. Knowledge and/or Skills - An understanding of NCURA's primary mission as a professional development organization, and a basic understanding of its professional development offerings.
    2. Education and/or Experience - Experience and knowledge in research administration and training as well as the analytical abilities to evaluate materials, content, etc., and the ability to provide objective feedback.
  4. Training and Support - The PDC Evaluation Coordinator and the NCURA staff provide support to the Evaluation Subcommittee members.
