Professional Development Committee
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The PDC Evaluation Subcommittee Members are responsible for the critical analysis of the evaluations of all the NCURA professional development programs.
DURATION: One year term, on a calendar year appointment basis.
- Function of Position - To evaluate professional development activities, including workshops, special conferences, Fundamentals of Sponsored Programs Administration, Neighborhoods, and monographs, micrographs and publications.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities & % Time Devoted - PDC Evaluation Subcommittee Members review evaluations of NCURA programs and submit a written summary of the evaluations to the PDC Evaluation Coordinator. Members will contribute to creating or editing evaluation tools. All work is completed through e-mail and telephone communication throughout the year. Length of commitment is one calendar year but may be renewed. A monthly time commitment of four hours can be anticipated.
- Qualifications/Requirements
- Knowledge and/or Skills – An understanding of NCURA's primary mission as a professional development organization, and a basic understanding of its professional development offerings.
- Education and/or Experience - Experience and knowledge in research administration and/or training as well as the analytical abilities to evaluate materials, content, etc., and the ability to provide objective feedback. Prior presentations experience is desirable. This is a position available to members of the PDC but it is open to the NCURA membership, too.
- Training and Support - The PDC Evaluation Coordinator and the NCURA staff provide support to the Evaluation Subcommittee members.
