With travel budgets shrinking and government regulations constantly changing NCURA is pleased to offer discounted on campus sessions of the Sponsored Programs Administration: Level II (SPA II) Workshop.
SPA II is intended for those who have already completed "Fundamentals" or have a few years of research administration experience. The program offers participants an opportunity for in-depth instruction and analysis of four core aspects of research administration: proposal creation and submission (including cost sharing), contract review (including sub recipients), post-award financial administration (including effort reporting), and research compliance (including conflict of interest). The two and ½ day workshop uses a combination of lecture, discussion and case studies to provide solutions for real life situations.
Another unique feature of SPA II is the Open Forum where participants can pose questions and engage in lively discussion about virtually any aspect of research administration. The workshop is lead by faculty who are acknowledged experts in research administration.
In order to bring the workshop to your institution, you need to have a minimum of 60 participants. These can be individuals from your campus, system or a neighboring institution. To schedule your campus session contact:
