Toni Shaklee is Assistant Vice President for Research at Oklahoma State University. Prior to moving to the Division of the Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer in 2004, she served in a variety of capacities in the OSU College of Arts and Sciences including assistant director of research. Toni became a Certified Research Administrator in 2003, a Certified Pre-Award Research Administrator in 2011, and was named to the RACC Board of Directors in 2007.
Toni was a member of NCURA’s third Leadership Development Institute (LDI) class and was the class coordinator for Leadership Tips, a column written by LDI participants that appeared in the NCURA Newsletter. Toni has served as an at-large member of the Region V executive committee and NCURA’s PDC. She was a member of the program committee for PRA II and NCURA annual meetings in 2011 and 2012 and is serving as the co-chair for PRA VII. She has also presented or led discussion groups at NCURA annual, regional and PRA and FRA meetings, has served as a workshop evaluator. Toni was selected in 2007 to be in the initial cohort of NCURA’s Peer-to-Peer reviewers. She has made invited presentations in several states to both university and small business audiences and at SBIR conferences.
Toni holds a B.A. in political science from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, an M.A. in political science with an emphasis in public administration from Oklahoma State University, and a Ph.D. in environmental science with an emphasis in environmental law and policy also from Oklahoma State University.
