Randy Draper is Director of the Office of Contracts and Grants at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Formerly, he served as Director, Research Administration, Arizona State University; Director, Office of Grant and Contract Services, Northern Arizona University; and, Senior Assistant Director, Office for Sponsored Research, Harvard University. His career in sponsored programs began in 1980 at Johnson State College in Vermont, where he served as Project Director for a U. S. Department of Education Title III, Strengthening Developing Institutions grant. In addition, Randy has been a program evaluator, proposal writer, and faculty member. He received a Ph.D. in Educational Policy, with a concentration in the Anthropology of Education, from the University of Oregon, and holds masters and bachelors degrees from the University of Vermont. He is a frequent contributor to NCURA panels, workshops, and educational programs in the areas of university/industry partnerships, federal contracting, and negotiation strategies. Most recently, Randy served as one of the faculty members for the Basic FAR workshop at the annual meeting.
