Denise Clark

Denise Clark is the Assistant Vice President for Research Administration and Advancement at the University of Maryland, College Park and is responsible for providing support to the campus community's research, creative activity, and outreach initiatives.  Her responsibilities include oversight of activities for proposal preparation and submission, award negotiation and management, subaward issuance and monitoring, compliance with University State and federal regulations, ethical stewardship of funds, and strategic planning.

After joining NCURA in 1989, Denise has been active at both the national and regional levels. She has served on national and regional program committees, including co chairing the 50th and 43rd Annual Meetings and the ERA III Summer Conference. She has also served as a member of the Board of Directors, Secretary, Vice President, President and Immediate Past President.
Denise has been a workshop faculty member, NCURATV faculty, a concurrent panelist, a moderator and a discussion group leader at numerous NCURA events.  She was honored with the NCURA Award for Distinguished Service in 2010 and the NCURA Region II Distinguished Service Award in 2007.  

She is also a contributing chapter author to Sponsored Research Administration: A Guide to Effective Strategies and Recommended Practices, a publication of NCURA and Atlantic Information Services.
