Dear Colleagues,
Our devoted program committee members have worked tirelessly to pull together what we believe is an exciting and informative program. Our conference theme, Formulas for Efficiency and Success speaks directly to what we hope you will gain from this conference. In addition to sessions addressing the challenges we continue to face, this year’s conference offers new information for Research Administrators as we move into the era of transparency and streamlined processes.
From FFATA to new Financial Conflict of Interest regulations and the promise of less administrative burden, Research Administrators must possess the latest knowledge and skills to manage change in a timely and responsive manner as stewards to both our university and federal funds. We truly believe that the sessions available to you in this program will assist in those endeavors.
The conference program consists of over 110 sessions and 21 pre-conference workshops. Each is designed to provide a solid understanding of topics distributed across five “tracks” of learning:
All of the sessions also include a helpful program level allowing attendees to make their learning opportunity selections based on level of topic knowledge: Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced. In planning our program, we considered the interests and job diversity of our colleagues. We think you’ll find the variety and depth of information provided over the next two and half days evidence of NCURA’s strong commitment to excellent professional development! In typical NCURA fashion, the site for our conference is beautiful and relaxing. We are certain that the award-winning Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin will provide the perfect atmosphere for learning, networking and fun! So after an enlightening day participating in great sessions taught by expert colleagues, please take time to connect with others and enjoy the surroundings of Disney’s Epcot Resort area! On behalf of the entire program committee, we welcome you to Florida and to FRA 13! We are confident that you find this conference valuable and well worth the trip!
Sincerely,
