Penrhyn (Penny) Cook currently holds the position of Director of Research Initiatives at Yale University.  This position has two major responsibilities. The first is to coordinate the submission of multidisciplinary, highly competitive grant applications that require central coordination . The second is the development and delivery of training on sponsored projects that will enhance faculty success and effective sponsored award management.

For ten years Penny held the position of Director of Grant and Contract Administration at Yale. Her professional expertise is in the area of pre award administration with a special interest in research development, training and compliance. She has also been affiliated with Rockefeller University, New York University School of Medicine and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.  Penny has served on numerous NCURA panels, worked on program development initiatives and has been a member of the NCURA Board of Directors.
