Pamela A. Webb is the Associate Vice President for Research Administration at the University of Minnesota. In this capacity, she is responsible for pre-award and post-award non-financial services supporting about $700M in research expenditures annually, as well as negotiation of F&A rates and effort reporting. Prior to her appointment at the University of Minnesota in July 2007, Pamela led pre-award and post-award administration in the Office of Sponsored Research at Stanford University. Pamela has been involved in research administration for 25 years, including 12 years at the University of California-Los Angeles as well as UC Santa Barbara, Northwestern University, and Stanford.
Pamela has served as a national officer of NCURA and served two terms on NCURA's Board of Directors. In October 2009, she received NCURA's Distinguished Service award. She has co-chaired a national conference on Electronic Research Administration, and serves as a reviewer for NCURA's Peer Review program (assessing the research administration offices of other universities) and as a faculty member for NCURA's Sponsored Projects Administration travelling national workshops. Pamela also serves on the Federal Demonstration Partnership Executive Committee, and co-chairs (with NIH) its Research Administration Committee. Pamela is a frequent presenter at the national and regional level, specializing in electronic research administration and subawards, as well as helping research administrators learn the complex regulatory environment.
