Cindy White is the first Director of Sponsored Programs to serve Belmont University, a predominantly undergraduate institution in Nashville, Tennessee. After 10 years as the director of the Research Office at Washington University in St. Louis and a previous 10 years with the Division of Sponsored Research at Vanderbilt University, she is now enjoying the challenges of structuring sponsored programs services from the ground up.

A generalist in the field, Cindy focuses most of her time and effort in policy development, faculty services and day-to day operations within pre-award and non-financial post-award management. Training and education are particular interests. She is also serving as the IRB Administrator for the human research protection program at Belmont.

Cindy has actively participated in NCURA activities since 1987, serving on NCURA's Board of Directors, both holding office as Secretary and as a member at large. She has chaired the Southeastern Region and has served on numerous annual program committees, taskforces and panels over her 20+ years of NCURA membership.
