Adilia F. Koch is the Director of Export Compliance at the California Institute of Technology. With more than 13 years of export and import compliance experience, she joined Caltech from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), where she served as the Senior Licensing Officer in the Office of Export Compliance. At Caltech, Ms. Koch is responsible for the development of an export compliance and education program. She has experience in the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations (OFAC) and U.S. Customs Regulations.
Before joining JPL and Caltech, she served as the Export Compliance Manager at 3Com, Open Harbor, and Trade Beam. She also has worked at various law firms as a paralegal before joining 3Com. Ms. Koch has substantial experience in licensing issues, commodity classification, internal assessments and audit, voluntary disclosures and implementation of export compliance programs.
Ms. Koch earned a dual-bachelor of science degree in Political Science and Religion from the University of Southern California. She has served as speaker and conducted various training Research Forums at Caltech and at conferences including, the NCURA National and Regional Conferences.
