Marjorie Forster has been involved in research administration for over forty years. Currently she is the Assistant Vice President for Research at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and is responsible for the development and implementation of an International Global Health Program, Export Control, Research Compliance and Training. Her research administration experience also encompasses grants and contracts, corporate and clinical trial agreements, intellectual property management and conflict of interest and her previous positions include: Director, Office of Sponsored Programs-Academic at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and Director of Grants Management and Fiscal Affairs, University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, School of Public Health.
Marjorie has been active in NCURA in the regional and national levels including having served as Chair of Region V and Treasurer of NCURA. Throughout her membership in NCURA Marjorie has made numerous presentations for both workshops and sessions at the national and regional levels. Most recently, she is the recipient of the NCURA Region II 2009 Distinguished Service Award.
Marjorie has also been active in AUTM, SRA and AAMC, Group on Business Affairs. She received a Diploma in Business Administration from the Wirral Polytechnic College, UK and has participated in several courses related to management development, managing organizational and personal conflict, and executive development.
