Cindy White is the first Director of Sponsored Programs at Belmont University, a predominantly undergraduate institution in Nashville, Tennessee. From 1997 until 2007, Cindy supported the research community at Washington University in St. Louis, directing the Research Office for over nine of those years.

Prior to Wash U., she learned the business of university research administration at Vanderbilt University, beginning with the Division of Sponsored Research in 1987. A generalist in the field, she focuses most of her time and effort in policy development, faculty services and day-to day operations within pre-award and non-financial post-award management. Training and education are particular interests.

Cindy has actively participated in NCURA since 1987, serving on the Board of Directors and holding office as Secretary. She has chaired the Southeastern Region and served on numerous annual program committees, taskforces and panels over 20 years of NCURA membership.Cindy also served as faculty for NCURA Fundamentals of Sponsord Project Administration workshop.
