NCURA officers, committee members, national office staff and general membership will endeavor to seek out all sources of information relevant to the programmatic goals of NCURA will fully recognize and understand the following guidelines:

Compensation will not generally be provided to presenters of information in concurrent sessions or workshops.

No favoritism or predisposition related to any factor other than the best available source of information shall be used in the selection of presenters.

Presenters, whether a non-profit or for-profit organization, may not use an NCURA educational forum, such as a plenary, concurrent or workshop session, for any purpose other than the imparting of factual information based upon research, experience and informed professional judgment.

Presenters may not use an NCURA educational forum to sell or recruit for its services or products or demean other organizations in the business of selling or recruiting similar services or products, in the course of an NCURA sanctioned presentation of information.

With any presenter representing a vendor doing business in the subject area about which he or she is to speak, a verbal DISCLOSURE of this fact to the assembled audience should be made by the presenter or the session moderator

While vendor organizations will be given equal opportunity to sponsor NCURA activities, neither sponsorship of an NCURA event nor participation in a meeting session relieves participants of the requirement that they abide by all meeting requirements, including the payment of all stated meeting, registration fees and/or membership dues, as appropriate, if attendance at any other meeting sessions or functions is desired.

Any violation of this policy will be reported to the President of NCURA who may act, or delegate the authority to act to another officer or standing committee member. Such actions may assume any form that has the effect of notifying the NCURA membership, either orally or in writing, that an undisclosed interest was held by a participant in an NCURA educational forum. The President may also determine whether prohibiting an individual or an organization from participation in any NCURA programs for a specified time period is appropriate.
