Research Administration Planning


Research Administration Planning is geared to institutions that would like assistance in conceptualizing the process for developing new or revised policies, procedures, and management structures, in the context of U.S. based best practices. The focus is to assist the institution in integrating commitments for extramural funding and to conceptualize and strategize longer-term plans for establishing a solid foundation for research administration.

This service is tailored to the needs of the institution and is flexible in responding to a range of institutional needs. Some key areas that Peer Advisors can assist with include: 

  • Assist the institution in developing a research strategic plan and provide insights for research administration needs in the context of the institution's directions and goals
  • Facilitate administrative discussions about key elements for building a foundation for sponsored programs infrastructure
  • Provide support in prioritizing recommendations from a peer review and developing action plans for implementation
